Feeding time is one of the happiest moments of the day — wagging tails, excited eyes, and paws tapping impatiently near the bowl. But as pet parents, it’s natural to wonder what’s really best for your furry baby.

As we discussed in our last post, home made meals can be so much better than commercial food — fresher, safer, and filled with love. But we also know that finding the right recipes can feel like a task. That’s where we come in!

We’ve put together a few fun, easy, and delicious recipes that your dog will absolutely love — made with simple, pet-safe ingredients that are nutritious and easy to digest.

Recipe 1 : Cottage Cheese Mix

Ingredients:

• Cottage cheese (paneer)

• Chopped capsicum

• ½ tsp coconut oil

• A splash of chicken broth

Process:

Start by heating half a teaspoon of coconut oil in a pan. Add the chopped capsicum and let it sauté for a minute until it turns slightly soft and aromatic. Then, pour in a little chicken broth — it enhances the flavour and adds some moisture. Once the liquid has reduced slightly, add the cottage cheese and stir gently for 2–3 minutes. Let it cool a bit before serving. The result is a light, protein-rich dish your dog will love.

Why it’s good: Cottage cheese is full of calcium and protein, while capsicum adds vitamins and antioxidants — perfect for keeping your pet active and healthy.

Recipe 2 : Golden Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

• Boiled rice (brown or white)

• Boiled turmeric chicken (shredded)

• Black pepper

• Chicken broth

Process:

Take a bowl of freshly boiled rice and add in some soft, mashed turmeric chicken. Pour a little chicken broth to bind everything together and enhance the aroma. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of black pepper — not only does it add flavour, but it also helps the body absorb turmeric better. Mix everything gently until well combined. Let it cool slightly before serving your pup this comforting, golden meal.

Why it’s good: Turmeric supports joint and immune health, while chicken and rice are gentle on the stomach — making this recipe ideal for recovery days or mild tummies.

Recipe 3 : Veggie & Cheese Mix

Ingredients:

• Boiled potatoes

• Chopped carrots

• Cottage cheese

• Chicken broth

• Coconut oil

Process:

Heat a small spoon of coconut oil in a pan and add the boiled potatoes and carrots. Sauté them until they’re lightly tender but not mushy. Pour in a splash of chicken broth and let it cook until the liquid slightly reduces. Next, add the cottage cheese and gently mix everything together, allowing the cheese to melt slightly into the veggies. Serve it warm, and watch your pet enjoy every bite of this colorful, healthy mix.

Why it’s good: This dish provides a balance of carbs, vitamins, and proteins, keeping your pet energized, nourished, and full of joy.

Tips from Pet No Fret

• Avoid ingredients like onions, garlic, salt, sugar, or artificial seasonings. They are TOXIC for your pets!

• Garnishing with coriander, basil is always welcome!

• Always let food cool before serving. We don’t want it too hot!

• Check portion sizes and frequency with your vet. Let’s not over-feed or under-feed our furries!
