Stepping Away From the Noise
Sometimes, all you really need is a pause — a break from the noise, the rush, and the constant buzz of everyday life. I wasn’t looking for a packed itinerary or a crowded resort. I just wanted a place where I could slow down, breathe, and let Leo enjoy being outdoors.
That’s exactly what Dandelion by the Hills gave us.
Open Spaces That Let You Slow Down
From the moment we arrived, the serenity of the place stood out. There was so much space to walk, explore, and simply exist without feeling hurried. Long walks with Leo felt peaceful and unhurried. We were surrounded by greenery and fresh air, with no traffic or distractions in sight. Watching him enjoy that freedom was one of the best parts of the trip.
A Place That Truly Welcomes Pets
What made the stay even more comfortable was how genuinely pet-friendly the staff was. It didn’t feel like Leo was just being accommodated — he was truly welcomed. Everyone was warm, relaxed, and at ease around him, which instantly made me feel at home too. There were no awkward rules or constant reminders, just an understanding that pets are part of the experience. He could be off-leash many times, one of the things our pets truly value!
Thoughtful Details That Made a Difference
Another detail I really appreciated was how thoughtfully the food was handled. Any customised food requirements were taken seriously and managed with care, which made the stay feel personal rather than generic. It was reassuring to know that both Leo’s needs and mine were being considered. We even had a fun bonfire one of the evenings.
Views, Calm & Quiet Mornings
The views were the final touch. Waking up to quiet hills, fresh air, and complete calm felt like a reset I didn’t know I needed. Sitting there, watching the landscape with Leo by my side, made time slow down in the best way possible. It was easy to go for a trek and meet some goats and mountain dogs, beautiful flowers were in bloom.
A Getaway We Truly Needed
Dandelion by the Hills turned out to be exactly what we were looking for — a relaxing getaway away from the busy world, where I didn’t have to choose between my peace and Leo’s comfort. We left feeling rested, happy, and already missing the calm.
Sometimes, the best trips are the simplest ones — especially when your pet gets to enjoy them with you 🐾
